On Saturday, February 18th, the Trailwood Springs HOA kicked off their neighborhood beautification project by landscaping the fence line along Lineberry Road. With more than 20 volunteers, 68 new Ligustrums and “Swift Creek” privets were planted along the fence followed by 50 yards of new mulch. The group started around 9:00am and finished up by 2:00p. It was a most productive day with great neighbors and great weather, working together to improve the look of our community.
The project was funded in part with a Raleigh Neighborhood Improvements Matching Funds Grant from the City of Raleigh.
Thanks go out to everyone who pitched in: Marilyn D., Wallace W., Bob S., Josh G., John C., Chad S., Mike G., R. Mews, The Thompson Family, The Hatch Family, The Markulin Family and The High School Boys from Crossroads Fellowship. Special thanks to Trailwood Springs homeowners Matt C. with Legendary Landscapes for providing free delivery of all our plants and the use of the tools and to Todd O. from the Village Deli and Grill for donating the fantastic lunch boxes, which were enjoyed by all after a morning of hard work.

Would you like to meet more of your neighbors? Last year at about this time, the board members spruced up all
three entrances, spreading mulch and planting new greenery. This year, we hope to improve the entire façade of
our neighborhood, spreading mulch and planting shrubbery along the fence line that serves as a border to our
neighborhood along Lineberry. Landscaping can be an excellent way to meet your neighbors. A green thumb isn’t
necessary… just a desire to help. We need volunteers! Please consider lending a hand.
Time: September 24th – 9:00 AM
Meet -Up Location: Entrance on Paul's Penny Lane off of Lineberry
“Landscape Project” in the subject field.
Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

Vandalism on Saturday Night
Late Saturday night (3/19), the basketball hoop located on Eleanor Rigby Court was broken. It appears that someone might have been hanging on the hoop and broke the hoop and backboard in the process. There were also beer cans scattered throughout the neighborhood.

Officer Upchurch and several members of our community have hit the
streets going door to door passing out the attached flyer. If this is
the first time you are seeing this flyer, please make sure you share
it with your neighbors.
This flyer was specifically designed for our area, however, this is a
city-wide problem, and the Raleigh Police Department are doing their
best to be proactive and get the message out. Regardless of our
hometown atmosphere, we live in a city that is getting bigger and
bigger every year. Our best defense against these crimes is to be on
the offense and keep our eyes and ears open!
We say this over and over, if something does not seem right in yours
or your neighbor's yard, house, driveway - THEN IT PROBABLY ISN'T -
CALL 911!!!!!
If you are one of these people that just can't force yourself to dial
911 for something that you are not sure is an emergency, then dial the
non-emergency number 890-3335. Whatever you do, JUST CALL.
